History

IPEKA Christian School was established when a young Chinese pastor, Dr. William Ho realized that Christian families were unable to find quality Christian schools for their children.

Along with several church leaders he developed a vision for a new school based on three objectives: to educate the nation, provide education of the highest standards, and to serve the Lord Jesus Christ through education. These three pillars grew into the mission and vision of IPEKA. We’re building on this legacy as we continue to develop the next generation of strategic leaders who integrate faith and learning.

The name IPEKA comes from the first letters of the Bahasa Indonesian words for faith, hope, and love. The first IPEKA School began in 1979 with 5 teachers and 100 students.

Now our Foundation has established 13 schools locations around Jakarta, Tangerang,Bekasi, and outside Java (Palembang, Balikpapan, and Makassar). God has blessed us to become one of the largest Christian School systems in the world spreading the gospel and discipling children for His glory.

IPEKA Integrated Christian School was built in 1999 in order to provide the Christian community with an international standard of education for their children.

At present we have 1035 students in grades pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade. English is the medium of instruction for classes and we use a strong, college prep, American and Australian curriculum. In addition, all students study Mandarin, giving them the advantage of being able to communicate effectively in two global languages.

IICS accredited by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) and ACSI (Association of Christian School International). WASC accreditation highly supports our high school students in the admission process into top colleges and universities around the world. Meanwhile, with ACSI accreditation IPEKA Integrated Christian School acquires recognized accreditation status. IICS is also known for having an exceptionally strong science and math curriculum.
