SEED (Spiritual Emphasis Enrichment Day)
SEED (Spiritual Emphasis Enrichment Day) is the first program to welcome all the students from Nursery to K5 to IICS Kindergarten. The students will have enrichment days through worship rally and Bible stories. Art and craft activities done in each day will reinforce what the students have learned and heard during Bible story time. This program will equip our young learners with Biblical foundation and Christian values that will help them in knowing about Jesus Christ our Lord and setting a strong foundation of faith throughout the school year.
Vacation Bible School
VBS (Vacation Bible School) is one of the most awaited events throughout the school year. This event is held for five days and all kindergarten classrooms will be transformed into different VBS stations based on the following year’s theme. The students will learn about Jesus in such a fun way through Bible station, Music and Mission station, Art and Craft station, Snack station, Recreation station, and Worship Rally station. The teachers will decorate the kindergarten classroom while the parents decorate the chapel. Special performances by the students are performed on the last day of the event. Students, parents, and teachers work hand-in-hand in such harmony in making this event successful and memorable.
Grandparents Day
Grandparents Day is one of the most appreciated events that is held at the beginning of the academic year. This program allows a special time for the grandparents to get to know their grandchild in his/her school setting. Upon coming to school in Jakarta, grandparents will be enriched with a seminar and continued with class visitation. A special grandparent-grandchild activity is prepared to promote a stronger loving bond across generations and a lasting memory.
Indonesia Culture Day or United Nation Day
Indonesia Culture Day and United Nation Day are held alternately each year. In both events, the parents’ participation is highly appreciated. These events introduce students to the many cultures in Indonesia and the world. The students learn about the traditional clothes, foods, animals, and songs which they will present to their parents.
In these programs, the students also learn the valuable lesson of sharing. Students and parents raise funds to be donated to support a cause. They will make some art works to be auctioned to the highest bidder on that day. Parents also participated by selling foods in a food bazaar. At the end of the event, all of the income will be donated to those who need and the students are learning to be a blessing to all people around them.
