Junior High Big House Day

Big House Day is a part of the annual House Program. This special program takes place outside school and is compulsory for all students and teachers in the Junior High Department of IICS. Throughout these fun outdoor activities, students and teachers are expected to strengthen their team building skills and develop stronger friendship than. In order to better understand the
divers fication of people who live in the surrounding Jakarta are, the students area also encouraged to improve their social skills.

The Big House Day has a different theme and objective in every season. This year, the theme is Love Your Neighbors as Yourself with the objective to demonstrate belief through outdoor activities. Related to this theme, students and teachers are divided into five big groups, and they will visit orphanages and elderly houses to do community service. They will share blessings, love, and care to people who may be less fortunate.

One of God’s commandments is to share love, and since we have received countless blessings from God, we can use this opportunity to become channels of blessings to others. Through this program, students and teachers can demonstrate their belief in God who is full of love and they can gain lessons to enrich their spiritual lives. After doing the community service at orphanages and elderly houses, students and teachers will balance their day of service with fun activities at Trans Studio, Cibubur. There, they can enjoy rides at this new theme park in Jakarta. Through these activities, we are so grateful for God’s blessings in our lives.
