Activities with Children on National Children’s Day

Children are God's gift to us every parent. As a child, they have rights that must be fulfilled by parents, including the right to protection, education, equality, and so on.

National Children's Day is celebrated every July 23. Starting from the inauguration of Indonesian Children's Day in the Old Order era by President Soeharto, where he saw the importance of children as assets for the nation's progress.

National Children's Day 2022 carries the theme "Protected Children, Advanced Indonesia". This theme was chosen in the hope that it will provide an understanding that children are the next generation of the nation and serve as a reminder for parents to support the growth and development of children to become children who are resilient in facing all challenges.

On this National Children's Day, there are several activities we can do together with our children even at home, such as:

  1. Play cards or board games together
Children certainly like many types of games, on this special day, parents can invite their children to play their favorite card or board games, avoid games that use gadgets and use this time to play together.
  2. Cooking together
Invite your children to cook the food they like, this activity will teach them to appreciate the process of making food and also improve children's skills.
  3. Watch movies together
Watching movies doesn't have to be in the cinema but can also be done at home, parents can invite their children to watch movies together and look for shows that are light but still educate children so that children can feel happy and imitate the good things in movies.

Happy National Children's Day! Let's support all the talents and potential that Indonesian children have so that one day they can become a generation that the nation can be proud of.
