Smart Harnessing the Power of Social Media!

The widespread use of social media is nothing new in Indonesia. From the beginning until now, people's attachment to social media has increased. Only with mobile devices, whoever they are, wherever, and whenever can access almost all the information they need quickly.

The use of social media today also brings behavioral changes to society. The role of the media which was originally for exchanging information developed into a tool for interaction and socialization without being limited by distance, space, and time which later formed a social network. This social network-driven mostly by young people is their main place to talk to each other, exchange views, and then influence each other.

The role of social media in forming networks and influencing people's behavior can be utilized by anyone. Even now, elementary school students are already using social media networks. Middle and high school students also use and create social media accounts for the purposes of promotion and campaigning for school activities.

In addition to the positive role of social media, and the effects of such a wide network, it is not uncommon for social media to be misused such as the spread of hoaxes and other fatal things that can harm.
